History

Sunmaster first began providing quality canvas and storm/ security protection to Southwest Floridians in 1969, operating from within a small facility in Naples' prestigious Park Shore area. Mark and Darlene Miller purchased the company in 1976, and continued to grow the business. By 2000, the original property fell short of their needs, prompting them to relocate the facility to its current location on Industrial Boulevard. In 2012, the Miller's retired and the reins of the company were taken over by John Wilkinson and Dave Rinker. From within their new 24,000 square foot facility, the 35 employees of Sunmaster have designed, fabricated and installed coverings for hundreds of residential and commercial projects throughout the surrounding area. The Company's stellar reputation for fabricating Custom Canvas, Ornamental Metal, and Storm/Security Protection is a direct result of years of ontime service, quality work and expert installation. The Company has earned 57 IAA /International Achievement Awards from the Industrial Fabric Association International (IFAI) for Canvas Division projects of outstanding complexity, workmanship, and uniqueness. Their newest Ornamental Metal Division recently won two Ernest Wiemann Top Job Awards from the National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metal Association (NOMMA) for a stainless steel and glass entrance porte cochere on Veracruz in Marco and for a contemporary stainless steel and cable interior stair railing for Stevens Industries.
